B-52H Stratofortress - Cold-weather mission

MINOT AIR FORCE BASE, N.D.—Staff Sgt. Scott West marshals a B-52H Stratofortress before takeoff here Jan. 27. The mission was flown despite weather conditions of minus 45 degrees with wind gusts of 27-plus mph. Sergeant West is a crew chief with the 5th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron.
