Young Snake Killed on Dirt Road in Paraguay

(Philodryas olfersii)

This is a juvenile snake found dead on a dirt road leading to a ranch just east of the Paraguay river, near Asuncion. The eyeball has popped out of its socket. This species is often found in bushy areas.
