The United States Marine Hospital at Chelsea

The United States Marine Hospital at Chelsea. The building was made of stone and built in 1827. Patients were sick and disabled seamen. Although run by the revenue collector of Boston and Charlestown, a physician and surgeon were appointed by the President of the United States.
