Orange Hawkweed, known also as "devilweed" has invaded many communities in Alaska. It is recognized as an ecologically invasive plant and noxious weed in the United States and Canada and threatens biodiversity. Once established ,it quickly spreads by seed, above ground stems (stolons) and below ground stems (rhizomes). It devolops dense patches that can completely replace native vegetation.
