Lee Metcalf NWR, Stevensville, Montana: All seasons of the year are interesting at this beautiful little refuge set in the midst of the Bitterroot National Forest in southwestern Montana. All manner of birds are found here, from the majestic bald eagle to the diminutive calliope hummingbird. Waterfowl abound and a special treat is in store when the tundra swans pass through.
