En route from surveying the coast of southeast Alaska to a project in the Columbia River, NOAA ship RAINIER took the rare opportunity to see her homeport and Mount Rainier, the inspiration for the ship’ s name. The crew and officers celebrated NOAA’s 200th with the two RAINIERs.
