General Map of Charleston Harbor showing Rebel Defences and Obstructions prepared by party under Charles Boutelle, Asst. U.S.C.S., and drawn by E. Willenbucher. A note to the west of Ft. Moultrie shows where the Coast Survey Steamer BIBB had a torpedo (mine) explode under it during clearing of the harbor on March 16, 1865. The BIBB survived with little damage and no casualties.
