Field Chart No. 3012 South Pacific Ocean, Solomon Islands, Indispensable Strait. Published May 1944 on USS OCEANOGRAPHER. Reprinted at the Hydrographic Office July 1944. This chart is the first to show the name Iron Bottom Sound, a name coined by the hydrographers of the OCEANOGRAPHER.
