OPERATION IRAQI FREEDOM—Maj. Dan Gernert, an F-16CJ aircraft pilot deployed from the 77th Fighter Squadron, Shaw Air Force Base, SC, to the 363rd Expeditionary Fighter Squadron, adjusts his oxygen mask prior to taking off for a mission on March 27, 2003.
