F-15 Eagle - Air surveillance

ELMENDORF AIR FORCE BASE, Alaska—An F-15 Eagle takes off for an alert response mission here Aug. 15 during Alaska Shield/Northern Edge 05. The exercise is the largest homeland defense/homeland security exercise conducted in Alaska. It is an opportunity within the state to exercise an integrated local, state and federal government response to a series of simulated emergencies.
