C-141 Starlifters - Standing by

WRIGHT-PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Ohio—C-141 Starlifters and Navy P-3s arrived here Sept. 17 to escape potential damage by Hurricane Isabel. Wright-Patterson AFB serves as one of many safe havens for aircraft needing to evacuate because of severe weather.
