SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA—A C-130E Hercules carrying the Modular Airborne Fire Fighting System from the 302nd Airlift Wing at Petersen Field, Colo., prepares to deliver flame retardant onto a wild fire in Simi Valley on Oct. 29. The aircraft were on station helping to quell the numerous fires ravaging California this fire season.
