C-130 Hercules - X-ray eyes

YOKOTA AIR BASE, Japan—Senior Airman Jonathan Keller measures the distance between his Lorad portable X-ray equipment and the crew door of a C-130 Hercules aircraft inside a hangar here. The Airman is checking the aircraft door frame for structural cracks. The nondestructive inspection technician assigned to the 374th Maintenance Squadron here uses the X-ray and advanced technology to examine the uniformity, quality and serviceability of components of assigned and in-transit aircraft.
