Biological research - tagged stones

Biological research - tagged stones. Tagged stones were regularly examined to determine the number of aquatic insects important as fish food. Records of insect abundance before and after the stream watershed has been sprayed with DDT enabled BCF biologists to evaluate the effect of pesticides on fish populations.
