Alaska Islands & Ocean Visitor Center is your window to the largest seabird Refuge in the world ââ¬â with all of the natural wonders of Kachemak Bay on the Kenai Peninsula right outside its doors. From sea stars to sea lions, this spectacular facility in Homer, Alaska depicts the amazing diversity of life found in Alaskaââ¬â¢s island and ocean habitats. Stunning exhibits and films take you on a virtual tour of the 4.9 million acre Refuge, into a seabird colony, and on a visit to a ââ¬Åfield campââ¬â¢ to delve into the fascinating work of wildlife biologists. The Visitor Center maintains a listing of area wildlife sightings and tours, as well as nature programs and heritage tours offered in Homer.
