Protective Fencing for Desert Tortoise Habitat

This is an example of the fencing used to surround desert tortoise habitat and is specially designed to protect the desert tortoise from roaming out on to streets and highways. The fence has a lower section that prevents the desert tortoise from climbing out of the habitat and a section of fence is also buried a foot or so below ground level and prohibits it from digging under the fence line.
